Lillian’s
training of my Maltese puppy has been a tremendous help. I had
problems with Murphy running out the door anytime someone came to
the door. With Lillian’s training tips, Murphy now sits and
stays in front of the door, when I open it, with a simple cue
“Place”. Thank you, Lillian!!
Due to my ignorance of pet training I had no control and this led to his tragic death. He dashed out the front door before I could grab him, encountered my neighbor’s aggressive pit bull and was mutilated and killed. Months later I acquired a Norfolk terrier puppy named Alex. This time I wanted to be a knowledgeable trainer so I proceeded to research various trainers and their methods. A friend suggested I contact Lillian because she had heard excellent reports of her positive training methods. I arranged for Lillian to meet with Alex and learned it was also my training session. Lillian arrived at the appointed time and within a few minutes, Alex was happily responding to the clicker she had introduced. Harsh words, shock collars, choke collars were no where in sight, only gentle, patient training. Two of the most important behaviors Alex and I learned were ‘Touch’ and ‘Leave it’. Alex learned to touch a bell beside the back door when he needed to go outside by placing his paw gently on the bell. To our amazement and amusement this behavior led to Alex playing a small piano. The cue ‘Leave
it’ came in handy for a variety of uses, but most beneficial
when we go on walks. We have approached dead birds, dead squirrels
and discarded KFC lunches, not to mention other dangerous articles
for Alex to consume. By utilizing ‘leave it’, we enjoy
a much safer walk.
Here comes Lillian to the rescue, a professional trainer that came to our home. We have learned many great things since working with Lillian. Kismet and Chivas will actually “come” when called and they are so much more social around people and other pets. Nothing that we tried previously got results like with Lillian. Something equally as important that we’ve learned, is give your dog a job. You wouldn’t believe some of the simple exercise Lillian taught us that got their brain going and they love it. Many, many thanks
Lillian for all your experience and guidance.
