My Dog Training Philosophy

I have been teaching owners to train their dogs for thirty years and have found the best results are through positive reinforcement. Through this training method, harsh voice tones, choker, prong or shock collars are not necessary.

Dogs are a very intuitive and intelligent species and they are observing us from the moment they enter our lives. They communicate through body language and if we take the time to interpret their language we are on the road to building a lasting relationship which includes trust and respect.

Know that each dog learns at different levels, therefore, try not to compare your dog to others and find what motivates your dog. Most dogs will respond to treats, some to toys and there are those who prefer verbal and physical praise.
